A Celebration of Optimism and Storytelling
In a vibrant and transformative gathering at the LG Academy in Victoria Island, Lagos, LG Electronics hosted the LG Insider Experience, an event that brought together Nigeria’s leading content creators for a day dedicated to storytelling, collaboration, and spreading optimism. This initiative is part of LG’s successful “Optimism My Feed campaign”, which encourages individuals to share uplifting and hopeful stories, countering the negativity that often dominates social media. By turning feeds into platforms for positivity, the campaign seeks to inspire change and foster connection. Hyoung Sub Ji, Managing Director of LG Electronics
West Africa, remarked, “Positivity is contagious. Stories have the power to reshape perspectives and inspire meaningful change. The LG Insider Experience was our way of bringing these conversations offline, providing a space for creators to learn, collaborate, and amplify optimism.”
The event featured engaging workshops, storytelling
masterclasses, and candid discussions where
attendees shared personal stories of resilience and
hope.
Creators who highlight acts of kindness or
shine a light on unsung heroes within their Doris Onwuagba, Head of Digital Marketing at LG
Electronics West Africa, emphasized that the event
went beyond content creation. “This was about
building a movement.
These creators possess the
unique ability to touch hearts and drive action
through their platforms. Today was about equipping
them with the tools to amplify their impact.”
The atmosphere was electric, with participants
leaving the event motivated to continue spreading
optimism through their platforms. Many expressed
gratitude for the opportunity to connect with fellow
creators who share a passion for positive storytelling.
“This is just the start,” noted the Digital Manager. “We’re dedicated to partnering with even more
creators to spread positivity throughout Nigeria. At LG, ‘Life’s Good’ isn’t just a tagline—it’s a promise
we’re committed to fulfilling through hope and optimism.”
The LG Insider Experience underscored the transformative power of storytelling in uplifting communities and reaffirmed LG’s mission to create a brighter, more optimistic future for everyone.
